I'm looking for housing. What do I do?

We're currently working with The Hope Center at Pullen and Haven House. Please contact these agencies to obtain a referral if you are living in Wake County. We're working hard to expand our partners and locations.

What is 1st Chance Housing?

We're landlords on a mission to end the foster care to homeless pipeline. We develop affordable housing options in North Carolina and make those units available to parents at risk of CPS involvement, parents seeking reunification, and former youth youth at risk of homelessness.

I'm a caseworker. What do I do?

Submit a referral through your agency to Wake County's Landlord Engagement Unit and request housing through 1st Chance Housing via the "Submit Referral" button above.

What are FYI & FUP Vouchers?

FYI (Fostering Youth to Independence) and FUP (Family Unification Program) are federally funded programs through HUD administered through local housing authorities in partnership with local human service organizations (DCFS, DSS, etc).
